FINISHING PRINCIPLE PHOTOGRAPHY
It's important that you complete shooting all the scenes in your script, and your script should be at least one hundred pages!
Don't leave anything for later. I can never over-stress this point enough. You just can't afford to go back into production on the same movie again.
Don't anticipate dubbing later. Do extensive wild lines on a daily basis, every time you find out you have unusable sound. Don't procrastinate on this. Pay attention to it and take the trouble to do it at the end of shooting each scene.
Before you authorize the production manager to call "Wrap!" on the production, make sure you have all your close-ups, all the special effects shots, all your inserts, all your sound foley and atmosphere and check with every department to make sure that they don't have anything left to accomplish for the successful completion of your movie. Be humble and ask everyone if they know of anything else you can shoot, "just in case!"
