CONCLUSIONS
It's true the movie business is a hybrid industry, there's the business side and there's the artistic side. For some it's a balance, for others it's an either-or and let-the-chips-fall where-they-may situation.
But, you're a film maker. For you it's different. First make the movie and then sell it, don't get the business and the art mixed up, that's all. It's not easy, but it's doable.
You should stay focused as a film maker. Do the best job of writing or selecting a story, cast wisely, shoot soberly and cheerfully, edit with every ounce of creativity God has given you, market your film as a businessman, with integrity and caution.
And then, go ahead, laugh, laugh, all the way to the bank.
God Bless You, friend. Don't get mad at my weird sense of humor. I meant no disrespect against anyone, I'm just passionate about film making. And I really want you to survive and get the breaks that you deserve!
